To add engraving to an item, click the "Personalize It" or "Engrave It" button on that item's product page. This black button is just above the "Add to Cart" button. Once you click it, a menu of engraving options will appear, and you can fill in your engraving location, text and font information.

When you're done, simply click "Add to Cart" and complete your order.

While we do charge for engraving, we do occasionally offer engraving promotions.

If you have never subscribed to our insider email list, you can enter your email at the bottom of our home page to join. We will then send you a unique coupon code for a single free engraving on your first order after you confirm your subscription. (Subscription offer subject to change.)

There is no minimum for standard text engraving! We can customize any quantity from 1 to 10,000 pieces. If you're looking to get something more specialized (such as a custom logo or image imprint), please visit our Corporate Gifts page for details. (Custom logo or image imprints can be added to 25 pieces or more.)

Orders with custom engraving generally ship within 3-5 business days.* If you need to receive your engraved item by a certain date, please consider upgrading the shipping. Upgraded shipping not only shortens your order's transit time, but also puts it in a priority line for faster engraving.

* Please note that engraved orders may take additional time during hectic holiday periods, such as late November and early December.

On most items, we offer a selection of block, roman or script fonts. The BLOCK font, a sans serif, is the most basic. It is similar to the letters on the keys of a standard keyboard. The ROMAN font is similar to Times New Roman, with "feet" (serifs) on the ends of the letters. Finally, the SCRIPT font is similar to cursive, and is a bit rounder and swirlier.

Many of the Swiss Army Knives and similar tools offer a font color selection, as our engraver carves out the letters and then applies a fill to make the engraving more visible. We offer white or silver fill. Both colors are popular options, and it's a matter of personal taste.

The white font color contrasts nicely with many of the knife handle colors, giving it a bit of a pop.

The silver is a speckled color that, while it is not metallic, does match the inlaid metal Victorinox cross & shield logo more closely than the white. It is not, however, an exact match as it's closer to a grey than to a reflective metal.

(A color option is not offered on every item, however. When we engrave on metal or wood, the laser process bonds with or burns the material rather than carving it out.)

While we can engrave a limited number of emojis, such as hearts and stars, our engraving is generally limited to alpha-numeric characters. Please see below for the list of possible characters.

In general, our engraving is limited to standard alphanumeric characters. We can engrave a very limited number of emojis, such as hearts and stars. If you have a question about a specific character, please contact us, and we'll be happy to let you know what's possible.

We can engrave standard Roman characters with accents, but unfortunately can not engrave in languages that use different writing systems altogether, such as Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and Hebrew.

While we can engrave initials, we are unable to engrave monograms in the style of a larger letter in the middle of two smaller letters.

All custom engraving is done here at our warehouse in New Hampshire by our team of experts.

While correctly engraved items are not returnable, the quality and accuracy of our engraving are guaranteed. If we engrave your order incorrectly, we are happy to replace it at no cost to you.
