Warranty FAQs

While Swiss Knife Shop does not provide warranty services, most of our products come with manufacturer warranties. These warranties often cover repairs or replacements.

For all warranty inquiries, please contact the manufacturers directly. For your convenience, we offer warranty summaries and links to manufacturer warranty web pages, as appropriate. Please find the section on your product's manufacturer below for details.

Swiss Knife Shop does not offer repair services. However, many of the items we sell are under manufacturer warranty, or can be repaired by the manufacturer or a partner recommended by the manufacturer.

Our goal is complete customer satisfaction with your product purchase. We offer free, no hassle returns for 90 days after purchase.

If you would like to make a return or exchange, please review our complete Return Policy below, and contact Customer Service for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

Returns sent to us without an RMA number on the outside box will be returned to sender.

For a full refund or credit, items must be returned in re-saleable condition, including all parts and with the original product packaging intact. Items returned with missing parts or not in original product box will incur a minimum restocking fee of 15%.

Sorry, but we cannot take returns on engraved items unless we have made an error in the engraving.

How do I return or exchange an item?

If you have received your order and would like to make a return or exchange within 90 days of purchase, contact our customer service department for assistance in facilitating the return or exchange. To make your return or exchange as easy as possible, we will assign your return an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number when you contact us. When placed on the outside of your parcel we are able to easily and quickly make the exchange or refund you requested when we receive your parcel.

Swiss Knife Shop will process your return in 3-5 business days after receipt of your parcel, and will immediately process a credit to your credit card. Items returned that are used or with missing parts or not in resalable original product box will incur a minimum restocking fee of 15%. 

When will my credit appear on my account?

A merchandise refund credit can take 7-10 business days from the time we receive your item(s) taking into account the time it takes your bank to finalize your credit to your account.

Swiss Knife Shop offers free returns within 90 days of purchase. If your item is damaged after that window, rest assured that most of our products come with manufacturer warranties. These warranties often cover repairs or replacements. If you purchased your item over 90 days ago, please make a warranty inquiry.

Victorinox has a lifetime warranty on all Swiss Army Knives and Kitchen Cutlery.

"Victorinox guarantees all knives and tools to be of first class stainless steel and also guarantees a life time against any defects in material and workmanship (save for electronic components 2 years). Damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse or abuse are not covered by this guarantee."

Leatherman offers a 25 year warranty on all tools and knives. Warranty does not include pouches and accessories.

"Leatherman tools are built to last, but if anything happens, your Leatherman is backed by our 25-year limited warranty."

INOVA (NiteIze) Worry Free Guarantee

"If you have any INOVA or NiteIze product that has stopped performing before its reasonable lifetime (not due to misuse or neglect), please contact them through the link above and they promise to make it right. For their products that contain rechargeable batteries, they'll gladly replace the batteries for the first two years.

The Worry Free Guarantee applies only to products purchased from INOVA/NiteIze directly or its authorized resellers." (Swiss Knife Shop is an authorized reseller.)

Kyocera offers a lifetime warranty.

"KYOCERA Advanced Ceramic cutlery and kitchen tool products are manufactured to the highest level of quality standards. KYOCERA advanced ceramic cutlery and kitchen tool products are fully warranted to be free of defects in material and/or craftsmanship. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use or accidental damage to the knife or kitchen tool product."

LED Lenser offers a 5 year warranty.

"At LED Lenser USA, they take extraordinary measures to make sure your product will give you many years of dependable service. If the product has a defect in material or workmanship, don't worry! They will gladly repair or replace it, at their discretion, with one of equal or greater value under our 5-year guarantee. This warranty does not cover abuse, alteration, theft, loss, or unauthorized and/or unreasonable use of your LED Lenser product."

Orbitkey offers a 2 year warranty.

"Orbitkey offers a two-year limited warranty, beginning at the time of purchase (the “Warranty Period”), on all Orbitkey products sold. They warrant their products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the Warranty Period. This warranty is extended to the original end-user purchaser, beginning at the time of retail purchase."

Shun offers a lifetime warranty, as well as lifetime free sharpening.

"Shun brand products sold by Kai USA Ltd. are backed by a Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects. In addition to supporting their products with this warranty, they will be happy to sharpen your Shun or Kai knife for free for as long as you own the knife."

Tweezerman offers free sharpening of all Tweezerman implements.

"Sharpening is FREE of charge, aside from the initial shipping to the Tweezerman facility. They will happily sharpen Tweezerman Tweezers, Nippers and Scissors that have become dull through normal use FREE for as long as the implement can be re-sharpened. No processing fees. No Shipping & Handling fees on return back to you."

Wusthof offers a limited lifetime warranty on all of their products.

"WÜSTHOF-TRIDENT OF AMERICA, INC. products are guaranteed to be free of defects in material and/or craftsmanship. Any item claimed as defective must be returned to them for inspection. Their warranty does not apply if the damage is due to what they define as normal wear, or use other than the intended purpose of the item. Certain types of damages and/or conditions such as those due to age or improper treatment would void the Wusthof warranty. "

"You will be pleased to know that all of Zwilling's products are fully guaranteed against defects in materials and / or craftsmanship. The warranty does not cover wood products, such as knife handles, wear from normal use, or any damage resulting from use other than the intended purpose of the item."
