The Gourmet 8" Serrated Bread Knife by Wusthof is designed to cut even the freshest, crustiest loaves of bread with ease. This knife goes beyond bread however, it is useful for cutting cakes, a crusty roast, or even tough skinned fruits and vegetables.
Each knife in the Gourmet series by Wusthof-Trident is precisely cut from a single piece of high-quality steel with the latest state of the art laser technology. The steel used in this line is the same as that in the renowned Wusthof Classic and Classic Ikon forged series. The Gourmet line is very comfortable to use, and knives with blades over 4.5" feature a full tang for optimum balance. Every Wusthof Gourmet knife is very sharp, making each and every cut clean and easy.
Engraving: Up to 16 characters can be custom laser engraved onto the blade of the Gourmet 8" Bread Knife to make this piece of cutlery a unique gift, or for identification.

25 years ago I found nice looking bread knife in outlet store. To put my hands on it I unpacked it and touched it around. One's I put it back in packaging I noticed some blood on it. Then looked to my fingers and noticed small cut and some blood. How easy and pain free it happened made my final decision to buy it. Next day it became #1 tool in our kitchen for all family and stays in this position for 25 years. Now we got a new one, it's all good, but I have one wish. If you take special orders - please make it 6" long and shape like original one. Thank you very much.
