This Victorinox REX Straight-edge Peeler has an ultra-sharp straight edge ideal for virtually all fruits and vegetables, as it easily handles both soft and hard peels. The Swiss-made blades on the REX yield precise, thin cuts, minimizing waste and preserving the vitamins found in fruit and vegetable skins.
The REX peeler was invented in Switzerland in 1947, and has been a cult classic ever since, with its ergonomic handles and its built-in potato eye remover. It can easily be used by left and right-handed chefs.

Many years ago, I was given a used Swiss Rex peeler. I loved it. It was the best thing since sliced bread. After many years of use, it was time to replace it. I bought one off of Amazon but it wasn�t the real thing. No surprise there, right! So I found them at the Swiss Knife shop and purchased two. They make peeling vegetables so easy. You will never want to use anything else.

I have been looking for one made as well as our old German made one. We have had it for over 40 years and it is starting to show a little wear. I ordered 2 just in case. These are made really well by Victorinox and look like they will last as long as the Solingen made one. I will be ordering more for gifts.
