The patented Fibrox handles on each of the large knives in this set are dishwasher safe and slip resistant, even when wet. They are also NSF approved, as crevices that would offer hospitality to bacteria are minimized. The handles are ergonomically designed to minimize wrist tension and provide a natural fit.
Victorinox knives all have high carbon, stainless steel blades that are hand finished at Victorinox in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. Each knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished. Victorinox uses a special tempering process to produce an edge that can be resharpened over and over again. The lightweight European steel of these blades is optimally weighted to reduce fatigue.
The tri-fold roll is made of sturdy black polyester, and features a convenient carry handle and detachable, adjustable shoulder strap. In addition to 8 pockets to secure knives up to 11 inches in length in a compartment that zips securely closed, this carrying case has a business card slot, pen holders, and two small zippered pockets to stash accessories.
