The Picnic Plus is ideal for hiking, picnics, or any lunch on the go. The included fork and spoon insert lock into the handle of the included Opinel No.08 using the Opinel Virobloc safety ring.

The No.08 knife, fork and spoon are easily and compactly stored in the dual-purpose microfiber cloth which works as both a napkin and carrying case. Slots for the fork, spoon and your knife keep everything secured, and an elastic ensures your utensils stay safe and clean while you're on the go.

The blade of the No.08 is made from high-quality European stainless steel. It is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of 55-57, optimized to ensure corrosion resistance and superior performance. The razor-sharp blade holds its edge, even when used with hard materials, ensuring a lifetime of performance.

The grind of the No.8's blade is convex, which minimizes contact between the sides of the blade and the material being cut, prolonging the sharp edge's life. This grind also makes the blade extremely strong and allows Opinel to put a remarkably sharp edge on it.

Crafted in the French Alps, this folding pocket knife features a varnished beechwood handle made from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests in France. It is contoured for a comfortable grip.

The blade locks open for use or closed between jobs with Opinel's patented Virobloc safety ring, which is a stainless steel ring that rotates into position and keeps the blade securely in place.

Caring for Your Opinel Picnic Plus Set:
Fork and spoon are dishwasher safe. Hand wash your knife. Do not immerse your knife in water, as this could warp the wooden handle. Dry the blade before closing.

To easily insert the dry, clean fork or spoon into your knife handle, clean the knife's hinge thoroughly and ensure it is free of dirt and other debris. If the knife handle has been recently exposed to humidity, dry the wood by placing it in a bag of rice or next to a heat source for a few hours. Insert the knife or spoon, wiggling so it fills the hinge completely, if necessary.

The fork and spoon inserts in this set is compatible with all wooden handled No.8 folding knives equipped with the Virobloc safety ring circa 2000. They are intended to be used ONLY with non-altered Opinel No.08 wooden handled knives. They are NOT compatible with No.08 Slim Effile knives, No.08 gardening knives, No.08 pruning knives or No.08 mushroom knives.
