This knife is designed in the tradition of the first Japanese pocketknives, which were manufactured in 1896 in Meiji-era Japan. As with the traditional Higo Nokami Japanese steak knives, when the knife is closed, part of the tang protrudes so it can be used as a lever to open the knife.

This pocket-sized steak saver includes a liner lock to safely lock the knife in the open position when in use. It is made with exceptionally sharp 420J2 steel that is highly corrosion resistant and holds an edge. The beautiful handle is made of durable POM, and features a decorative inlaid crest.

A comfortable-to-use 6-inches in length when open, this knife folds down to only 3.25-inches when closed. This lightweight knife fits nicely into a suit pocket. The Higo Nokami comes with a luxurious leather sheath.
