Buck 692 Vanguard Knife with Rubber Handle

The Buck 692 Vanguard Fixed Blade Knife was crafted for field work and big game hunters. This no-nonsense knife is ideal for hunters, with a contoured handle and brass pommel and guard that make field dressing safe and easy. The Vanguard features a razor sharp drop-point fixed blade crafted from 420HC stainless steel, and a durable, practical textured rubber handle.

The drop-point blade is full-bellied and has a strong, thick point well suited to even tough tasks. The top of the blade drops down (giving it its name), which minimizes accidental punctures. The high, hollow grind of the blade facilitates long, sweeping cuts, and the full tang handle gives this knife exceptional strength and control.

The blade of the 692 Vanguard is made of Buck's standard 420HC stainless steel, as this material has both exceptional corrosion resistance and wear resistance. It is finished with Buck's Advanced Edge2x Blade Technology.

Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.

The handle of the 692 Vanguard is Textured Rubber, which is durable and rugged. A brass pommel and guard give the knife balance and beauty.
