The 684 BuckLite Max II Small Fixed Blade Knife is the smallest of the BuckLite Max II collection of knives, a line of knives created to be economical, American-made, high performance hunting knives. The BuckLite Max II Dynaflex rubber handles are ergonomic and offer superior grip and performance without unnecessary weight. The strong 420HC drop-point blades are perfect for hunting and general outdoor use.
The drop-point blade is full-bellied and has a strong, thick point well suited to even tough tasks. The top of the blade drops down (giving it its name), which minimizes accidental punctures. The high, hollow grind of the blade facilitates long, sweeping cuts.
The blade of the 684 BuckLite Max II is made of Buck's standard 420HC stainless steel, as this material has both exceptional corrosion resistance and wear resistance. It has a tumbled finish, which makes the metal less porous and less susceptible to corrosion. Jimping along the spine (grooves) add control and prevent slipping.
Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.
