The Buck 664 Alpha Hunter Pro Fixed Blade Knife is a multi-purpose field knife designed for hunting and rigorous outdoor adventures. This highly capable knife with a full tang is perfect for large game detailing and processing whitetail and small game.
The strong, hand-sharpened drop point blade, full tang construction and textured handle combine to make this an exceptional go to for your next hunting excursion.
The Alpha Hunter has a full-bellied blade edge with a drop point and a strong, thick point that will stand up to even the toughest tasks. The top of the blade drops down (giving it its name), which minimizes accidental punctures. The high-panel flat grind of the blade strengthens it and means you can cut even tough materials confidently. Jimping (grooves) along the spine of the blade enhance your grip in any conditions.
The blade of the Alpha Hunter Pro is made of Buck's S35VN martensitic stainless steel, as this material has exceptional corrosion resistance, hardness, toughness and wear resistance. Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of RC59-61 through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.
The handles of the 664 Alpha Hunter Pro come in two options: Walnut Dymalux or Richlite, both of which offer superior grip, even in wet conditions.
Engraving: Up to 6 characters can be engraved on the side of the blade with the BUCK branding on the Buck 664 Alpha Hunter Pro Fixed Blade Knife.
