The Buck 112 Slim Heritage Folding Hunter Knife is a streamlined version of Buck's bestselling 112 knife. Despite its slender handle, it has the full functionality of the original, and adds a convenient deep cary pocket clip. Given its size, the 112 Ranger is everyday-carry favorite.
Designed for hunting, it is also a traditional everyday favorite featuring a razor sharp clip-point blade crafted from premium BOS heat-treated MagnaCut steel. When the blade is fully opened, it locks securely into place. The lock is released by pushing down on the rocker visible on the top of the knife and folding the blade closed.
The clip-point blade has a crescent tip that creates a thinner blade edge with a sharper point. This allows for detail work and cutting in tight spaces. It is also well-suited for creating punctures such as new holes in your belt.
The handles of the 112 Slim Heritage Elite Hunter are Crelicam Genuine Ebony with nickel silver bolsters. Buck has gone to great lengths, partnering with Taylor Guitars, to ensure a sustainable supply model for these genuine ebony handles. Buck treats the natural ebony with resin to create a nearly indestructible handle with a beautiful grain pattern. Please note that, as these handles are made of natural wood, each one is unique.

The Buck 110 Hunter Knife was once found on many sailers' belts in the Navy. Legend has it that, one day when a fight on deck broke out, the sailors fought with their 110 Hunters. As they were so large, the captain enacted a limit on blade length on board. Buck created the smaller 112 Ranger in response to this new rule, and the 112 soon became another favorite on board and elsewhere.
