Boker Bronco Fixed Blade Outdoor Knife

The Boker Bronco Outdoor Fixed Blade Knife was designed for heavy duty work by all professional outdoor users from bushcrafters to survivalists, cross-country hikers, and hunters to search and rescue teams. To stand up to harsh conditions and intense use, the full-tang, wide drop-point blade is made of CPM steel and ground to a high-set saber grind (preferred by hunters). The handle is comfortable and easy to hold in temperature extremes. A quiver leather sheath that can be worn with or without a dangler keeps the Bronco at hand and always ready when it's needed, and is equipped with a fire starter.

The CPM-3V steel for the blade was developed by Crucible Industries, LLC, a world leader in powder metallurgical steels. The focus was on shock-load tolerance, breakage elasticity, splinter resistance, and edge retention so the Bronco will never let you down. The steel is hardened to 62-63 HRC.

The full tang of the Bronco's wide drop-point blade extends beyond the handle to ensure stability. A short section of the back of the blade is shaped to 90-degree edges on both sides to facilitate striking sparks with the included fire starter.

The handle is made of TPE - thermoplastic elastomer, which is resistant, elastic, and non-slip for when weather conditions are less than ideal.

The fire starter is 9.3mm and is made by Light My Fire, a leader in the manufacturing of metal matches.

Every Bronco knife is hand crafted in the Boker Manufactory in Solingen, Germany.

The Boker Tree Brand Story 
In the 17th century, the Boker family began a small hardware factory beneath a towering chestnut tree in Germany. This tree was incorporated into the Boker's first logo in the 1600s, and has remained an important brand symbol. Over the years, the Boker family expanded their business and moved to Solingen, the City of Blades, to begin the now-famous knife line with cutlery expert Hermann Heuser. In honor of the majestic tree from their first factory, Boker was originally known as Tree Brand, and many still refer to it by this name.
