This Victorinox REX Straight-edge Peeler has an ultra-sharp straight edge ideal for virtually all fruits and vegetables, as it easily handles both soft and hard peels. The Swiss-made blades on the REX yield precise, thin cuts, minimizing waste and preserving the vitamins found in fruit and vegetable skins.
The REX peeler was invented in Switzerland in 1947, and has been a cult classic ever since, with its ergonomic handles and its built-in potato eye remover. It can easily be used by left and right-handed chefs.

I have been looking for one made as well as our old German made one. We have had it for over 40 years and it is starting to show a little wear. I ordered 2 just in case. These are made really well by Victorinox and look like they will last as long as the Solingen made one. I will be ordering more for gifts.

I got one of these through Nespresso a while ago and it was the best peeler ever and then I lost it so had to look for the brand but so glad I found it. This should be the only peeler that exists in the world.

Disappointed that this model is not as heavy-duty metal as my early model is. I've had my early model for well over 20 years and was glad to find this to replace it so purchased in cinnamon color. It's the same length and width but height is smaller, and unit is definitely a different feel in the hand so NOT as glad as I had hoped.
