  • The Boker Plus Cataclyst Lockback Knife Advent Calendar is a complete kit for building a high-quality, fully functional, customized pocket knife. There is a different knife component impatiently waiting behind each of the advent calendar's 24 doors. It is a fun way to pass the time before the big day. The pocket knife you will build is a lockback pocket knife you've helped design.

    This comprehensive kit results in a single blade folding lockblade knife, and leaves some of the design decisions up to you. Included are two blades to choose from (one with a nail nick for easy opening), as well as different handle scales and bolsters, clips, and a few small surprises.

    To guide you on your knife building journey, this limited edition set includes step-by-step instructions and a detailed YouTube video tutorial.

    Only a limited number of these Advent Calendars were made, and they are only available in 2025.

    Terrific final product!

    Wow, an easy project with multiple options! Three different scale choices, including G-10 and a beautiful rosewood. Two blade variations, one with a nail nick and the other with a thumb stud. I think there are 4 color choices for the thumb stud with mix and match colored screws. Two different pocket clip choices, too.

    There are some surprise gifts in the box, including a pretty awesome challenge coin.

    All in all, a worthwhile kit for any knife nut. You could change the look of the knife every week by swapping out scales, blade (which is heavy duty and sharp), screws and pocket clip. You end up with a man-sized, functional and great looking tool.

    I am on the look-out for earlier advent calendars to assemble another cool knife.

    It's hard to wait until Dec 1st

    When I got it, I immediately opened it to check and make sure all the boxes had something in them, since this is supposed to be a limited edition sort of thing. Every box has something in it, so I'm pretty happy about it. I can say nothing of the quality yet, since I've only glimpsed some parts, and only heard most of them as they rattled around. However, the quality of what I have seen looks pretty good, and the instructions look relatively clear. I look forward to finishing it and using it on Christmas Day.
