    So Close… Weak Clip is Achilles Heel

    I bought all 3. Of course the quality is as we’ve come to trust from Victorinox.

    Issues:

    -The clip is too weak… keeps the knife from falling into your pocket, but not out. It fell out of my pants pocket when reclining on the couch. Tight jeans and it’s probably ok. With the Onefold being lightest maybe it’s least likely to weigh itself out of the pocket when sitting.

    -I wish the liner wasn’t so stiff to press.

    Opinions from others:

    -I’ve heard concerns about scale strength with so much cut out around the tool pivot points (especially with using flathead to turn tight screw or pry with); worries for muck intrusion with skeletized scales; wanting a 1/2 stop (not needed… it’s too stiff to one hand close anyway).

    For me it’s plenty well sturdy and well designed for intended uses… which I think is closer to apples, zip ties, packages vs bushcraft, hunting, or the zombie apocalypse.

    I’d buy again.

    And think it’s good for:

    An average day EDC, a spiffy gift, a day hike, or for a collection.

    Not good for:

    Hunting, camping, DIY.
