The Swiss Modern Colors 7.5" Santoku Knife in Olive Green by Victorinox is a multi-purpose knife that combines the functionality of a cleaver and a chef's knife. It is great for chopping and slicing, and its unique blade doubles as a spatula for scooping up food after it is cut. The granton, or hollow edge creates air pockets between the blade and the food, allowing food to slide off easily and preventing sticking of even the starchiest foods such as potatoes.
The Swiss Modern Colors collection of cutlery is a beautiful, contemporary line featuring colorful hygienic handles that are lightweight, perfectly balanced and nonslip. Each knife in the line has a different handle color, making it easy to pull just the knife you need from the block every time.
Victorinox Swiss Modern knives have high carbon, stainless steel blades that are hand finished at Victorinox in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. Each knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished. Victorinox uses a special tempering process to produce an edge that can be resharpened over and over again. These blades are the same as those on the award-winning Fibrox Pro line by Victorinox.
Engraving: Up to 12 characters can be laser engraved on the blade of the Swiss Modern Olive Green Santoku Knife.
