  • Description
  • The Buck 110 Folding Hunter Knife is Buck's bestselling knife. This often-imitated knife design has been in the Buck lineup for over 50 years, and with good reason. Designed for hunting, it is also a traditional everyday favorite featuring a razor sharp clip-point blade crafted from 420HC stainless steel, and striking genuine ebony handles with finger grooves and brass bolsters.

The clip-point blade has a crescent tip that creates a thinner blade edge with a sharper point. This allows for detail work and cutting in tight spaces. It is also well-suited for creating punctures such as new holes in your belt.

When opened fully, the 3.75-inch blade on the 110 Hunter locks safely into position with a lock back design. When closed, the knife is just 4.88-inches for convenient everyday carry. The included genuine leather belt sheath makes bringing the 110 along even easier.

The blade of the 110 Hunter is made of Buck's standard 420HC stainless steel, as this material has both exceptional corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of RC58 through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.

When the blade is fully opened, it locks securely into place. The lock is released by pushing down on the rocker visible on the top of the knife and folding the blade closed.

The handle of the 110 Hunter is Crelicam Genuine Ebony with finger grooves for a secure grip. Buck has gone to great lengths, partnering with Taylor Guitars, to ensure a sustainable supply model for these genuine ebony handles. Buck treats the natural ebony with resin to create a nearly indestructible handle with a beautiful grain pattern. Please note that, as these handles are made of natural wood, each one is unique.

The History of the Buck 110 Hunter
Determined to provide a safe, sturdy, portable folding knife that locked safely open for use, Al Buck created the 110 Hunter in 1963. The trick was to combine the convenience of a folding blade with the strength of a fixed blade, and he rose to the occasion with this reliable knife design that quickly became a bestseller.

    Change Shipper

The product is great. I cannot be more pleased. I would suggest using someone other than the USPS to deliver your products. They are always late and unreliable. But, I still love the knife.

Buck 055 Folding Knife with Ebony Handle
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Half doesn't have to be half

The quality of manufacture is all Buck. However, the design leaves much to be desired. I know the 055 is supposed to be a half-sized 110, but that doesn't mean all specs need to be cut 50%. The oal is fine. The blade is a good size for a pocket knife. But the handle thickness is too thin to create a feeling of confidence in the hand. It just feels flimsy and cheap. The model 703 is a good example. The 703 is about the ssme length, with a similar main blade. But the 703 feels solid in the hand and inspires a confidence that it will be up to the task at hand. I know the 703 has 3 blades while the 055 has only 1, but the hand of the knife is what makes it a tool someone wants to keep in their pocket and depend on for whatever come up. I bought 2 of thr 055's when I saw them with great expectations. But I'm stashing them away as back-ups to the back-ups. Not all the specs or measurements need to be exactly half for the 055 to capture the "half 110" title. Half-size 110 with full sized dependability.....
