The Boker Kihon Bifold Pocket Knife is a flat, light, robust knife developed by US knife designer Lucas Burnley to reflect his understanding of the Japanese idea Kihon. Kihon is a Japanese martial arts term that refers drawing strength from the basics and fundamentals of form. This knife embodies Kihon with a streamlined design that gives it strength and stability.
The drop-point blade of this knife is made of powder metallurgy CPM MagnaCut steel with a satin finish. It is hardened to 62-63 HRC, and has outstanding edge retention and corrosion-resistance.
This knife opens intuitively with one hand with a thumb stud, and has a backlock mechanism for locking the blade open while in use.
The handle is made from a single piece of stainless steel shaped with an iconic bifold method.
The lanyard hole and convertible tip-up clip provide plenty of carrying options.

In the 17th century, the Boker family began a small hardware factory beneath a towering chestnut tree in Germany. This tree was incorporated into the Boker's first logo in the 1600s, and has remained an important brand symbol. Over the years, the Boker family expanded their business and moved to Solingen, the City of Blades, to begin the now-famous knife line with cutlery expert Hermann Heuser. In honor of the majestic tree from their first factory, Boker was originally known as Tree Brand, and many still refer to it by this name. - Stainless Steel Handle Made from a Single Piece of Steel Folded
