The Boker Barlow Oak Tree Folding Knife has a teardrop-shaped blade which hearkens back to 17th-century English pocketknives. The name Barlow is thought to have originated with the knife producer in Sheffield who began exporting this knife to North America around 1800.

This Barlow knife has a relatively narrow blade made of non-stainless C75 steel with a special dark acid wash protective finish. The C75 steel has outstanding durability and ease of resharpening. The blade opens with two hands with a nail nick, and is non-locking.

The handles of the Boker Barlow Oak Tree are made of dark bog oak wood, which contrast beautifully with the elongated nickel-silver bolster that is characteristic of Barlow knives.

The Boker Tree Brand Story
In the 17th century, the Boker family began a small hardware factory beneath a towering chestnut tree in Germany. This tree was incorporated into the Boker's first logo in the 1600s, and has remained an important brand symbol. Over the years, the Boker family expanded their business and moved to Solingen, the City of Blades, to begin the now-famous knife line with cutlery expert Hermann Heuser. In honor of the majestic tree from their first factory, Boker was originally known as Tree Brand, and many still refer to it by this name.
