  • Description
  • The Shun Kazahana 7-inch Santoku Knife is an all-purpose kitchen knife with a name meaning "three virtues." The "three virtues" of the Santoku Japanese blade shape are twofold: referring to the three types of food the Santoku is designed to prepare - vegetables, poultry and fish - and the three types of cuts at which it excels - slicing, dicing and chopping.

The full-tang blade of this Shun Kazahana knife is made of AUS10A, a high-carbon stainless steel with exceptional strength, corrosion resistance and hardness. The vanadium in the blade allows it to be sharpened to an extremely sharp 16 degree angle that will slice through any food with ease.

In Japanese, Kazahana means "snow that flickers like petals dancing in the sky." These beautiful knives have the name of Kazahana, as the finish on the blades mimics this beautiful sight. In addition to having an elegant look, the blade's beautiful satin finish serves the purpose of helping to release food from the blade.

Each contoured, symmetrical Shun Kazahana knife handle is made of polished black Pakkawood, which provides a secure, comfortable grip.

Engraving: Up to 12 characters can be laser engraved on this Santoku Knife.
