  • Description
  • The Opinel Nomad Cooking Kit is an adventure-ready set for preparing great meals when you're camping, trekking, boating or at your vacation home. It includes 3 essential Opinel folding tools, a cutting board, and a multi-tasking microfiber cloth to keep the items in the kit secure, organized and clean.

The Opinel No.12 Serrated Folding Knife is the largest in this kit and has a 4.72 inch serrated blade ideal for bread, large fruits and vegetables, and any foods with a tough skin and a soft interior. It makes quick work of hard rinds.

The Opinel No.10 Corkscrew Folding Knife in this kit is a multi-tasker with a 3.94 inch straight edge blade perfect for cutting, slicing and paring. In true French style, this unique version of the No.10 folding knife has a corkscrew that folds out from the handle so you are never without wine, and a bottle opener at the heel of the blade so you can pop your favorite bottles open for a frosty drink.

Also in this kit is the No.06 Pocket Peeler, which has a peeler in place of a traditional knife blade. This strong peeler, which can be used left or right handed, makes peeling fruits and veggies a quick job.

Accompanying these folding tools is a beechwood cutting board for food preparation and serving.

The included easy to wash and dry microfiber dish towel doubles as a travel pouch, and includes elastic bands to hold each tool in place, and an elastic closure to keep it shut.

The blades of the No.06, 10 and 12 are made from high-quality European stainless steel. They are hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of 55-57, optimized to ensure corrosion resistance and superior performance. The razor-sharp blades holds their edges, even when used with hard materials, ensuring a lifetime of performance.

The grind of the No.10 and 12's blades is convex, which minimizes contact between the sides of the blades and the material being cut, prolonging the sharp edge's life. This grind also makes the blades extremely strong and allows Opinel to put a remarkably sharp edge on them.

Crafted in the French Alps, these folding pocket knives and tools feature varnished beechwood handles made from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests in France. They are contoured for a comfortable grip.

The blades of the No.10 and No.12 lock open for use or closed between jobs with Opinel's patented Virobloc safety ring, which is a stainless steel ring that rotates into position and keeps the blade securely in place.

    Caring for your Opinel Knives:
Hand wash only. Do not immerse your knives in water, as this could warp the wooden handle. Dry the blades before closing.
