The Buck 662 Alpha Scout Select Fixed Blade Knife was designed for hunting and outdoor adventures. This highly capable knife with a full tang is perfect for large game detailing and processing whitetail and small game. The strong hollow-ground drop point blade, full tang construction and glass filled nylon handle combine to make this an exceptional go to for your next hunting excursion.
The Alpha Scout's drop-point blade is full-bellied and has a strong, thick point well suited to even tough tasks. The top of the blade drops down (giving it its name), which minimizes accidental punctures. The high, hollow grind of the blade facilitates long, sweeping cuts, and the full tang handle gives this knife exceptional strength and control.
The blade of the Buck 662 Alpha Scout Select is made of 420HC stainless steel, as this material has both exceptional corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of RC58 through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.
The handles of the 662 Alpha Scout Select are a strong glass filled nylon with Versaflex.
