The Buck 658 Pursuit Small Fixed Blade Knife was designed to be the ideal mid-range hunting knife designed for every hunter - from the novice to the experienced. This highly capable knife with a full tang is perfect for large game detailing and processing whitetail and small game. The strong drop point blade, full tang construction and comfortable non-slip handle combine to make this an exceptional go to for your next hunting excursion.
The Small Pursuit's drop-point blade is full-bellied and has a strong, thick point well suited to even tough tasks. The top of the blade drops down (giving it its name), which minimizes accidental punctures. The high, hollow grind of the blade facilitates long, sweeping cuts, and the full tang handle gives this knife exceptional strength and control.
The blade of the Pursuit is made of Buck's standard 420HC stainless steel, as this material has wear resistance almost as strong as high carbon alloys, while also featuring corrosion resistance comparable to chromium stainless steels.
Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.
The handles of the 658 Pursuit Small are Glass Filled Nylon/Versaflex for superior grip, even in wet conditions.
