The Buck 630 Paklite Hide Pro Fixed Blade Knife was designed for skinning and other outdoor adventures. This lightweight knife with a skeletal frame has full tang construction and weighs a mere 1.76 ounces, so it won't weigh you down when you're out on the trail or deep in the woods.
The Paklite Hide's blade is exceptionally strong, and can complete game processing without needing to be resharpened in the field.
This knife's drop-point blade is full-bellied and has a strong, thick point well suited to even tough tasks. The top of the blade drops down (giving it its name), which minimizes accidental punctures. It is the ideal blade shape not only for skinning, but for other outdoor adventures.
It is made of Buck's standard S35VN stainless steel, as this has a high carbon and chromium content for wear resistance and edge retention. Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.
The handles of Buck's Paklite knives are minimalist and ergonomic. The cut-outs and jimping provide a secure grip, even when things get messy. The OD Green Micarta handles make them comfortable to hold, and can be removed for easy cleaning.
The Paklite Hide comes with a lightweight polypropylene sheath that is designed to allow for a variety of different carrying methods.
Engraving: Up to 8 characters can be engraved on the blade of the Buck 630 Paklite Hide Pro Fixed Blade Knife, on the same side as the BUCK branding.
