Buck Legacy Collection 112 Ranger Pro 2024 Limited Edition Folding Knife

The Buck 112 Ranger Pro Folding Knife is a 2024 Buck Legacy Collection knife inspired by the Buck 110, but with a shorter blade. Given its size, the 112 Ranger Pro is everyday-carry favorite featuring a razor sharp drop-point blade crafted from S45VN steel, and scalloped black and brown Richlite handles.

The drop-point blade has a crescent tip that creates a thinner blade edge with a sharper point. This allows for detail work and cutting in tight spaces. It is also well-suited for creating punctures such as new holes in your belt.

When opened fully, the 3-inch blade on the 112 Ranger Pro locks safely into position with a lock back design. When closed, the knife is just 4.25-inches for convenient everyday carry. The included genuine leather belt sheath makes bringing the 112 Ranger Pro Legacy Edition along even easier.

The blade of the 112 Ranger Pro is made of Buck's exceptional S45VN steel, which has the perfect amount of carbon and chromium, leading to blade toughness, corrosion resistance and edge retention.

Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.

When the blade is fully opened, it locks securely into place. The lock is released by pushing down on the rocker visible on the top of the knife and folding the blade closed.

The handles of the 112 Ranger Pro are scalloped black and brown Richlite with a nickel silver barehead bolster. (A barehead bolster is a knife with a bolster only at the blade end of the knife handle, and not at both ends.)

The History of the Buck 112 Ranger Knife
The Buck 110 Hunter Knife was once found on many sailers' belts in the Navy. Legend has it that, one day when a fight on deck broke out, the sailors fought with their 110 Hunters. As they were so large, the captain enacted a limit on blade length on board. Buck created the smaller 112 Ranger in response to this new rule, and the 112 soon became another favorite on board and elsewhere.
