This steak knife is not serrated, and can be sharpened to perform like new even after years of use.
The 5-inch blade of the Shun Shima Steak Knife has a slight curve, designed for easy, one-pass slicing. With this unique recurve, you start the slice at the front of the blade and push forward or pull back through the entire length of the blade, eliminating the resistance and "crushing" experienced with a flat blade.
The beautiful Shun Shima has a full-tang construction, making it an exceptionally well-balanced knife. The slim, contoured handle fits well in the hand and tapers near the blade, enabling a slight pinch grip for comfort and control. The PakkaWood handle scales, made of genuine hardwood and impregnated with resin, are beautiful, water resistant, and won't harbor bacteria. Inlaid steel rondels add an elegant decorative finish.
