The Buck 417 Budgie Folding Knife was designed to be a premium lockblade folding EDC (everyday carry) in a package that's not intimidating. The Budgie fits in everywhere from the office to your hiking pack.

The drop-point blade of the Budgie is S35VN Steel, and a large thumbhole makes for easy one-hand opening. The drop point shape of the blade makes it sturdy, and its full belly makes it thick and strong for even heavy tasks, while the angle of the blade slanting down to the tip helps prevent accidental punctures.

This versatile blade locks open when in use with a frame lock mechanism built into the handle frame on the side of the knife. This sleek locking mechanism cuts down on moving parts, and on weight.

The machined grip on the lock arm provides traction when unlocking the knife blade after use.

The handle of the Budgie is made of G10, an almost indestructible resin laminate resistant to heat, cold, chemicals, impact, and whatever else life throws at it. The lanyard spacer at the end is the attachment point for your lanyard, and also adds a bit of length to make the Budgie more comfortable for larger hands. A removable clip adds another carry option, and secures the knife to the coin pocket of your jeans.

Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both edge retention and performance. The blade is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of RC59-61 through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.

Engraving: Up to 6 characters can be engraved on the blade of the Buck 417 Budgie Folding Knife.
