Perfect size and function for your pocket. Review by Larry

This knife has been my edc for twenty years. It's been put though and used for a little bit of most everything. Perfect size and function for an edc, not too big and contains most of your need it now basic tools. I don't leave home without it and friends know I have it and they use it also. If I ever lose this one I will get another just like it. (Posted on 9/15/2016)

Well designed, quality product Review by Carl

I love this knife. I received it as a gift about 10 years ago, and it's been a faithful companion ever since. Well designed, quality product that's built to last! (Posted on 8/16/2016)

Love the knife, wouldn't buy anything else Review by ?

The mechanic knife has been in my pocket everyday for 30 plus years. I have lost a few and reordered the same knife. I do mechanic work all day, and rather then run to the tool box, I reach in my pocket for the screwdriver or pliers. Perfect size so it is not irritating to carry. A few times I have had to leave my trusty knife behind objects to enter secure places, because I forget I am "carrying". So far it has been waiting for me when I got back. (Posted on 8/1/2016)

If you only buy one knife, make it this knife! Review by jacksbuddy

I have found a new respect for that most manly of pocket accessories - the pocket knife. Currently, I am remodeling a house TRYING to get it ready to sell. I have used my Mechanic pocket knife to cut sheetrock, cut open boxes and break them down for removal, trim and shape holes for joint compound, remove everything from tape and wall paper to plaster and wall fabric, unscrew light fixtures, splice wiring, and everything else you can possibly think to use a multitool for, and it just keeps on working. 20 Yrs and still going Review by Wes

Iv carried on for 20 years this Yrs I got it when I was 8 it was my first real sak and the only knife I never leave home without it has done many things and fixed many things and by far has been one of the top three knives I own (Posted on 5/9/2016)

Excellent! Review by Danno Pantano

Excellent knife! The Swiss Army knives are the best in the world, in my opinion, and they'll last a long time with care and with intended use. I've always had a Mechanic since my original one from the early '70s! Just a few days ago I lost my Mechanic while I was using it as I always do! (Posted on 2/9/2016)

Long Time Happy Owner Review by Festus

I've been caring the Swiss Army Mechanic for about 40 years. Would not be caught without it. It's compact and has just the right tools for everyday things. It will wear out with everyday use the one I have now is about 15 years old and has been carried in my pocket everyday. It's time to replace it because the plastic side have falling off. I think the next one will be my 5th Mechanic. Price sure has gone up since I bought the last one. I think I paid about $15 for my first one back in the 70's. I did get a Leatherman for a present once but never like to carry it except for when I was outdoors, it was just to big for everyday use. (Posted on 12/1/2015)

Awesome Tool Review by Jason L

Been carrying this knife for nearly 25 years and just came to the site to see if I can get some repair pieces. Carry it every day, and the pliers are so useful. Hoping to have many more years with it!!! (Posted on 4/20/2014)

Excelllent Review by jeepy

I have been using mine for just over 35 years, it's great. I was on this site because I just broke the toothpick after 35 years. (Posted on 2/4/2014)

Best of 'Em All Review by Red78

This knife has everything you need, and nothing that you don't need. In my opinion, it is the best overall Swiss Army Knife. I use at least one of the tools every day - most commonly the screwdriver/bottle opener. It works great for cutting tape on boxes, saving the blade. The next most-used tool is the pliers. You would be surprised at how many things you can utilize them on. They make this model stand out from the rest. Of course, the quality is great. I've had the same knife for about 10 years now, and it's still going strong. Highly recommend, either for your own use or as a gift. (Posted on 12/7/2012)

Excellent multi tool. Review by Dave

This is the knife to own. If you have a blade, why do you need scissors? Yet how many times do you need to tighten a nut or bolt (or pick up a scorpion)? I have had this knife in my pocket every day for 10 years and it is a perfect tool. I just wish it was more available than the scissors knives. A cross between the Swiss tool and a pocket knife is the Mechanic. And no I am not a mechanic by any means. Thanks for a GREAT pocket knife.
