The Victorinox (formerly Forschner*) 4-3/4 inch Straight Edge Steak Knife features a pointed tip and a Classic Rosewood handle. As with all Victorinox knives, the handle is ergonomically designed to minimize wrist tension and provides a natural fit.

Victorinox knives all have high carbon, stainless steel blades that are hand finished at Victorinox in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. Each knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished. Victorinox uses a special tempering process to produce an edge that can be resharpened over and over again.

Cook's Illustrated magazine recently rated this 4-3/4 inch Rosewood Straight Edge Steak Knife as their favorite, stating that it is "exceptionally sharp and nimble," and that it "makes quick work of even a tough steak."

The beautiful rosewood handle of this steak knife adds elegance to any table setting.

In addition to easily and cleanly slicing through cooked steak, this knife is perfect for use preparing a meal in the kitchen. Its compact size allows it to serve as a great all-purpose utility knife.

"so good that it was absolutly beyond belief" Review by BC

Bought 2 of these at same time as smaller paring knife. It was used for everything. Husb used one to clean fish and then stuck knife in ground to protect our 4 & 6 yr olds. Our poodle smelled the fish on the rosewood handle and chewed on it for a while. Still using it and the chew marks are still in evidence. Talk about a great buy---certainly got and am still getting my monies worth out of thse knives. You can't go wrong to get these knives. Looking to purchase some for my son when he gets married in a few months. (Posted on 8/18/2013)
