Great tool with excellent quality. Review by Chilly

My wife gave me this knife over 18 years ago and it has been my go to tool ever since. The quality is excellent! It is the perfect knife to carry for every day use. (Posted on 12/25/2016)

Not indestructible Review by The_Trustee

Rating
At the height of TSA confiscations I purchased these in quantities and handed them out to friends and family.
It is possible to over extend the blades and attachments to the point that they become sprung. When that happens there is no fixing it. The part will not fully retract and can cut holes in a pocket.

FROM SWISS KNIFE SHOP:
We are sorry your knife has attachments that are over-extended. Please contact Victorinox Swiss Army, as all Swiss Army knives have a lifetime manufacturer warranty and they will likely be able to help you repair or replace your Executive. (Posted on 11/27/2016)

best pocket knife ever Review by Earl

Rating
I have owned one of these knives since1971, when I first got into production agriculture. It is the best tool box I have ever owned. The orange peeler-blade is my favorite tool in the box. I just have to remember to put the knife in my checked luggage when flying commercial, but that always makes me feel naked. (Posted on 11/2/2016)

Best knife for all around work. Review by Glenn

Rating
I've always believed that the bigger the knife, the smaller the man. I've doted on my knives since I was a kid and I only use the top brands or custom made. The Executive is the best all around everyday knife I've ever owned and I've had mine for 16 years. The fruit peeler was genius, and the blades sharpen to a razors' hone with a few strokes of a steel. I've even used it for small game and all my whittling chores, and as a pipe smoker I wouldn't be without it. Worth every penny, and they're getting dear. (Posted on 10/10/2016)

Plastic sides are not good Review by Richard

Rating
For over 30 years I carried the Director, which is identical to the Executive, but has stainless steel sides. I was heartbroken when I recently lost it and very disappointed to find the Director no longer available. I bought the Executive but have been very disappointed with the plastic sides. After only a week in my pocket they are already scratched and scuffed. (Posted on 1/13/2016)

Wonderful design Review by Doug

Purchased my first Executive in Lucerne SW in 1972 And still have it, though now worn out. I carry its replacement Executive every day and it is the best knife ever made to carry at all times. (Posted on 1/10/2016)

Always in my pocket! Review by Tim

I got mine over 20 years ago from a supplier for Christmas. I carry it ALL the time. Best quality and most useful knife I have ever owned. I have a drawer full of Bucks I love, but they all require pouch. Even when I have one on, the Swiss Exec. is in my pocket. Tooth pick works too!! (Posted on 11/28/2015)

Excellent Review by Tom

I have carried this Executive model for over thirty years, everywhere I go. Always. It's getting a bit hard to keep a nice sharp blade now as the blade edge is sharpened til it is now flat. I'll have to have a new one in another 15 or 20 years. (Posted on 9/1/2015)

Great Knife but Sharp Edge on Nail File - Ouch! Review by Captain

Rating
Great knife with all the features needed. However, there's one flaw with the nail file that Victorinox needs to address. The file surface is machined all the way across to the edges. This makes the edge of the file sharp such that it can cut into finger tips while filing nails. The edge should be smoothed or rounded. I've had several cuts right at the end of the nail, even when being careful. I'll have to smooth the edges myself. (Posted on 8/31/2015)

Best Knife I have ever owned! Review by Jim

I have owned this knife for years and feel naked if it isn't in my pocket. I have used it for everything! The file in is great for Philips screws and the orange peel for standard screws. Use the scissors all the time and the 2 blades sharpen in no time and are used frequently, along with the toothpick. I am a Life Member of the Case Collectors Club, but this is the knife in my pocket!! (Posted on 2/6/2014)

The perfect size! Review by Tom Farrell

I would consider myself a Swiss Army Knife addict! This is my favorite! I think the size is perfect for a knife you want to carry a lot. I keep it on my keychain. My other favorite one is the SwissChamp but it's one I just keep at home, this one is perfect if you're on the go. (Posted on 11/19/2013)

Great all around knife! Women love it too! Review by Chet in MS

The engraving really made the knife special. I have owned this model for years, and it is very handy. Don't take it on a plane or courthouse...you will lose it there.
Great gift idea and something that will be handed down in the family. Maybe my grandson will have my knife some day with my name on it...cool! (Posted on 10/13/2011)

Good knife not Great Review by Dan

Rating
Great knife have one for 25 years just a wonderful. Had to get it replaced worn out and broken parts. New one is not as good as the older one, weaker spring in the scissors and no screw to tighten or loosen just a rivet. I still love the knife just wish they didn't try to improve on it. (Posted on 7/19/2011)

Great Knife for the business man! Review by Sam

I have this model in stainless steel and love it. I have had it for over 20 years and if I can't find another stainless model, I will buy the red plastic model. Great utility knife for the business exe. (Posted on 6/26/2011)

Cannot live without it Review by ophiothrix

Rating
I have owned several Executive knives, and always keep one as a backup. There is nothing better for daily use, and I'm as lost without my knife as I am without my keys. I particularly like the orange peeler and files, both of which work wonderfully. The only time I set my Executive aside is when I am going outdoors and replace it with my bulkier, but more versatile Backpacker. The Executive is the best tool I have ever owned. Excellent knife Review by Rick

I have had my knife for over 52years...gift from my father on my 9th birthday. My wife asked me to see if the same style was still in production. If so, she wanted one as a Christmas gift. After much review of Swiss Army knives, I was very pleased to find that it is still available. I have never managed to keep anything so long...let a lone continuously on my person during Viet Nam and other travels in life, and have it still work without any problem. (Posted on 11/26/2010)

It's a Swiss thing... Review by Sam

Just recieved it as a gift. Have owned many Victorinox over the years, always impressed with quality. Amazed at how they get misplaced or lost, but suspect it is the smooth sides and gentle shape that allow it to slip and disappear where bulky uncomfortable knives would stay put. Well worth the replacement inconvenience. (Posted on 8/19/2010)

Have used constantly since the 1980s Review by Gspin

i AM ON MY 5TH SWISS ARMY EXECUTIVE KNIFE. WHENEVER I LOSE ONE, I WAIT A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T TURN UP. THOSE WEEKS ARE MISERABLE AS I MUST FIND SUBSTITUTES FOR LOTS OF LITTLE JOBS THAT MAKE ME AWARE OF HOW DEPENDENT I AM ON THIS KNIFE.

IT IS A GREAT TOOL (Posted on 5/5/2010)

Used every day Review by Michael Durant

Rating
Since I first owned the Executive I hardly go a day without using it... the sissors, tweasers, and of course knife blade are great and I particularly like the file. It's a different cut than on most small knives. It is particularly easy to carry everywhere. It is actually flatter than the other "little" knives. It is a little longer, but just right - its nicer than the "little" knives without being bulky like the larger knives. I've given one to my children as they gone out into the world and find years later that they still have and use them. I'm buying two now to have one in standby for when I loose one. I really don't like going without it.

Approximately my 15th Ececutive knife Review by John Jones

Rating
I purchased my first in Switzerland in 1983 when I bought 5, some for gifts. I have purchased at lease 10 more as I have lost or given them away. I lost my last one last week and I am lost without it. It is a great tool and constantly used.

Used daily, almost hurts to be without Review by alt_bob

Rating
Executive owner since mid-80's. Used daily at the office, at home, and where ever I am. Open packages, setup computers, personal care, come to aid of co-workers and friends to do preceding. Having to place in baggage for air travel leaves me almost lost. This will be my fifth. Have yet to understand how they got lost. Hurt to check on my order after 7 seven days and find on back order. Thinking now I should too have ordered two. (Posted on 10/14/2009)
