  • Description
  • The Swiss Classic 4.3" Foldable Serrated Paring Knife by Victorinox takes a bestselling multi-tasker and makes it even more versatile. This knife is colorful, compact, and collapsible.

The serrated blade of this knife locks open when in use, and tucks safely into its handle between jobs. The Foldable Parer can be stowed in your pack or tackle box safely for outdoor adventures, or tucked into your kitchen drawer (no blade guard needed!) for everyday home use.

As with all Swiss Classic Knives, this parer features an ergonomic handle that fits nicely in your hand, as well as a sharp serrated blade that holds its edge.

The serrated blade of this folding round tip parer is perfect for slicing through tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables with tough skin and soft insides. These parers also make excellent utility knives both in the kitchen and outdoors.

Engraving: Up to 6 characters can be laser engraved on the blade this knife.

Features of the Folding Serrated Paring Knife:

    • Serrated blade made of wear-resistant stainless steel that holds its edge
    • Blade folds into knife handle when not in use
    • Blade locks in the open position while in use, and releases with a safe, simple mechanism

Victorinox knives all have high carbon, stainless steel blades that are hand finished at Victorinox in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. Each knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished. Victorinox uses a special tempering process to produce an edge that can be resharpened over and over again.

    Blade Length: 4.3 inches

My wife has MS and has difficulty cutting food — at home we have knives with serrated blades — when we go out, getting a serrated blade to cut foods e.g. Eggs Benedict, is impossible unless you bring your own knife — your folding knife brings more pleasure than you can imagine.

    Liked this idea very much,

Liked this idea very much, especially for camping equipment.

I love my serrated kitchen knives, and thought this would be a way to further that function.

HOWEVER, I can’t get it closed!

Even cut myself with the always sharp blade!

    Hints???

The Swiss Classic Foldable Paring Knives have what is called a 'liner lock' to keep them open. There is a piece of metal held in place by a spring inside the knife, and you can push that to one side to partially close the knife. Once the knife is partially closed, you can fold it up normally.
