Shun Premier 9" Combination Honing Steel

The Shun Premier 9-inch Combination Honing Steel restores the factory-fresh 16-degree blade angle to your Shun knives. With each use of your knife, the edge of the blade begins to naturally bend slightly, curving the sharp cutting edge away from your food. The use of this honing steel realigns the edge of the blade and keeps it performing at its peak.

The built-in angle guide of this steel assures the proper angle is restored each time you hone. Due to Shun's use of extra-hard steel in each knife, Shun blades hold their edge longer than traditional fine European cutlery, but honing each blade once a week is recommended. (Frequency will vary with knife use.)

The Shun Premier Honing Steel features the beautiful Shun Premier handle with its secure grip is made from Shun's iconic ebony PakkaWood, a resin-impregnated natural hardwood that is durable and moisture resistant and does not harbor bacteria.
