The Victorinox Fibrox Pro 5-inch Semi-flexible, Narrow, Straight Blade Boning Knife features an extremely sharp, serrated blade that holds its edge and hygienic, ergonomic Fibrox handle. This knife, which is semi-flexible for more resistance, was designed for professional butchers to make quick work of separating meat from bone. The handle is slip-resistant, even when wet, for added safety.
Fibrox Pro cutlery by Victorinox has been the choice of culinary professionals for decades, and is now available to the home chef. The ergonomically designed Fibrox handles of these knives are NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) approved, as crevices that would offer hospitality to bacteria are minimized.
Fibrox Pro high carbon, stainless steel blades that are hand finished at Victorinox Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. Each knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished. Victorinox uses a special tempering process to produce an edge that can be resharpened over and over again.
Though products labeled as "Made in Switzerland" are only required to have 60 percent of their components actually made in Switzerland, Victorinox proudly manufactures each Fibrox Pro knife in Ibach, Switzerland from end to end, and start to finish.
