  • The Shun Kanso 3.5" Paring Knife brings a newer, simpler design to an essential kitchen knife. Ideal for peeling, coring, trimming, decorating, and other detail work; its small size gives you complete control over the tip and edge of the blade.

The Kanso line of Shun knives was designed based on Zen philosophy, and its name means "simplicity." Shun took only the most essential elements of a knife - high-performance steel, razor-sharp edge, perfect balance and precision cutting control - and created a simple line of knives that provides simply perfect performance. The Tagayasan hard wood handle is contoured for the chef's grip and precision cutting. Tagayasan, known as "iron sword wood," was traditionally used in crafting Samurai sword handles. This wood is naturally dense, durable and beautiful.

Features of the Shun Kanso 3.5" Paring Knife:

    • AUS10A stainless steel blade - a highly refined, high-carbon, vanadium stainless steel that takes an edge and holds it
    • Heritage blade finish that hides scratches and gives the knife a natural look that improves with age
    • 16-degree cutting angle on each side cuts cleanly
    • Full-tang construction
    • Tagayasan wood handle
    • Hand crafted in Japan

    Blade Length:
    3.5 inches

Engraving: Up to 6 characters can be laser engraved on this paring knife.
