Shaving with Boar Bristles
Boar bristles are a less expensive, durable, effective alternative to badger bristles. Boar bristles take several uses to break in. When the brush is new, the bristles are stiff and may seem a bit tough. There may initially be a slight natural odor, as well (which will vanish with a few uses). When broken in, however, the tips of the bristles soften and split to hold more water, providing an exceptional shave.
