The medium-soft wood "gives" as you cut, helping preserve the delicate edges of your fine Shun cutlery. The light-colored wood features a rich, straight grain and a pleasant, fresh scent. The cutting board provides a comfortable 17.75" x 11.75" surface. The wood for this product is grown in Japan and is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified for sustainable forest management practices.
