The Tinker...Don't Leave Home Without It! Review by Rick
Rating

The Tinker, whether the standard or the smaller version, is the perfect knife for a man to carry. It has everything you need, and nothing you don't. And remember that a knife with too many gadgets may be uncomfortable in the pocket, so might be left in a drawer instead of being with you when you need it. I bought my first Tinker 30 years ago, and I don't feel dressed without one in my pocket.

The Perfect Size- Review by johnrichard

The Tinker is the perfect size for an EDC. I agree with others, the outdated corkscrew (more wines use other seals now) being replaced with an excellent Phillips head driver is a brilliant move. Not too long, not too fat, not too heavy. I like the blade composition; agree that it's not superhard, but it is very easy to sharpen well. The great part about carrying a SAK is that, unlike most other brands, it's not see as an aggressive knife by others. A true icon in today's world.

love these knifes
the only drawback is the soft steel, cant hold edge for too long, but is easy too sharpen

'
ps dont sharpen till dull, if you sharpen when brand new, it will only hurt you, lerned this the hard way

Great Knife, it's my everyday pocketknife. Review by Charles

Love this little pocket knife. Besides the high quality of the blade and construction, I find this incredibly useful becuase it has the phillips screwdriver. Even though I enjoy a glass of wine every now and then, the phillips screwdriver is my favorite tool on the knife and the feature that makes this unique from many other Victorinox knives.Owned mine for 8 years.

BEST KNIFE EVER Review by Robert

THE TINKER IS THE BEST OF ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS HANDS DOWN. I DON'T LIKE A BULKY KNIFE IN MY POCKET AND THIS IS THE SMALLEST AND LEAST COMPLICATED TOOL THAT STILL HAS ALL OF THE ITEMS I NEED ON A KNIFE. I HAVE BEEN CARRYING THIS PARTICULAR MODEL FOR 27 YEARS AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO UNTIL I DIE. BEST MODEL THEY EVER MADE.

Solid EDC Review by Jack R
Rating

I switch off carrying my black Tinker or a silver Alox Soldier. The Tinker seems more useful than the Soldier given then extra tools but the Soldier is a bit thinner and gives the impression of having stronger springs. it's awl is also a bit more sturdy and aggressive.

I can't make up my mind which I like more but I like both an awful lot. The Tinker is a great size for EDC pocket carry.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! Invaluable tool for backpacking: shaves fuzz sticks, carves tent pegs and preps food effortlessly. Wherever you go, this knife should go with you.

It's MacGyver's knife for a reason. Review by Jon

My grandfather gave me his old Tinker when I joined the Boy Scouts. It recently broke after 30 years of service (20 for my grandfather and 10 for myself). Getting another one; best knife I've ever owned.

For a tradesman looking for an ultra handy POCKET SIZED knife,no frills, with slotted and Phillips screwdriver blades, (I don't need a corkscrew on the jobsite!) I have found this model to have everything I need in a small knife.
