I've used these for years, given them as gifts. Recipients all tell me they LOVE this knife and it's their favorite knife in the kitchen. Both the straight or serrated knife can be sharpened excellently with the Lansky system. I do not work for either Victorinox or Lansky

Absolutely love this knife. Slices carrot sticks without splitting the carrot. My hand does not get tired or get irritated skin when peeling a bunch of apples. It is always dirty as it is my "go to" paring knife. It is very durable as I have had this particular knife for at least 12 years. (It replaced one like it that got lost.)

I have used these knives for almost 20 years. They fit my hands perfectly, they are sharp and stay that way, and also last a long time. I have never had an affordable paring knife until I got one of these, now, I have numerous ones as I hate to use any other knife ever. I carry them when I go to my childrens as they have nothing that can compare to these little jewels! Peeling anything is easier, less wasteful and accomplished more quickly with these knives.

Not a bad deal...for $5 Review by Steve

The real test of this little paring knife will be time: how well the blade holds an edge. If it is built of anything like the same steel used in Victorinox pocket knives, I am completely confident. However, the steel appears to be just stamped, and it is light enough to bend easily--not an altogether bad trait in a paring knife, but certainly not a mark of anything approaching forged quality.

The edge is well and evenly honed. The good part of the handle of this knife is that it is seamless polypropylene, so it's completely water resistant and dishwasher safe; the bad part of the handle is its size: it is tiny. If one will be doing a lot of cutting, this knife will not be comfortable. And inasmuch as the safety of any knife if directly proportional to how securely it can be held and directed, this one might not be well suited for extensive or lengthy use.

But for $5, it will be worth the experiment. If it proves to hold an edge well and I can learn to grip it comfortably, I'll definitely buy more.

Paring knives par excellance Review by senior cook

Trying to save water and not use my dishwasher until full left me without my favorite clean paring knife. After some frustration I decided to purchase numerous knives and at this price and quality I can always have a great knife ready for that next kitchen task.
